MSNBC, CNN Ratings Plunge as O'Reilly Reigns | ||

MSNBC and CNN’s primetime news programs have suffered an incredible nosedive in ratings since Barack Obama was elected president, Newsmax has learned. Ratings for “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” on MSNBC at 8 p.m. have plunged a dizzying 42 percent since October, shortly before the election. CNN’s 8 p.m. show, now being hosted by Roland Martin, has seen a 49 percent plunge over that time period, while “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News has dipped only 15 percent, according to Nielsen Media Research. Bill O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. show remains the top-rated cable news program, averaging 2,650,000 million households per night in April, more than the combined totals for Olbermann’s program (938,000) and CNN’s 8 p.m. offering (613,000) — with more than a million households to spare. In the key demographic of viewers 25 to 54 years old, Olbermann has lost 53 percent of his average nightly audience, a precipitous plunge. Rachel Maddow, who follows him at 9 p.m. on MSNBC, has lost an astounding 65 percent of her 25-to-54 audience since October, and her 819,000 households in April compare poorly to Sean Hannity’s 1,953,000 households on Fox. O’Reilly has also trounced Olbermann among viewers aged 35 to 64 in April, with 1,724,000 viewers, down 19 percent since October. Olbermann suffered a 49 percent drop in that demographic and had 1,151,000 viewers. The solid showing of “The O’Reilly Factor” and the plunging numbers for Keith Olbermann further belie Olbermann and MSNBC’s occasional claim that he is winning the ratings war in his time slot. MSNBC took out a full-page ad in The New York Times last November proclaiming “A Sweeping Victory” for its ratings and declaring “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” the No. 1 cable news program. But fine print at the bottom of the ad acknowledged that the “victory” referred only to the 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time slot for the dates Oct. 27 through Oct. 31, for viewers between 25 and 54 years of age. Overall, however, O’Reilly’s show averaged twice as many viewers as Olbermann’s. Earlier last year, the liberal press crowed loudly when Olbermann narrowly beat out O’Reilly in the 25 to 54 demographic one week in June. But the rating results were misleading. On Tuesday of that week, the cable stations covered that day’s primaries, and on Friday, O’Reilly was on vacation, with Laura Ingraham filling in. Ratings for “The Factor” dip when O’Reilly is not the host. On the three days when O’Reilly and Olbermann went head to head, O’Reilly won the 25 to 54 demographic. And he trounced Olbermann in total viewers, with 2,193,000 per night to Olbermann’s 1,031,000. The O’Reilly-Olbermann feud has been ongoing for years. O’Reilly denies that there is a feud, and says he won’t even mention Olbermann by name. But Olbermann for his part has made O’Reilly the frequent recipient of his nightly “Worst Person in the World” award. In a recent interview with Broadcasting & Cable magazine, O’Reilly said “The O’Reilly Factor” has fared well since Obama entered the White House because CNN and MSNBC comprise the “Obama cheerleading crew,” and viewers are tuning in to Fox because it is “more skeptical of the president.” And Newsmax reported earlier that Obama’s win on Election Day “may be a Pyrrhic victory” for Olbermann, who “had positioned himself as the anti-Bush, anti-Republican news source on MSNBC. With Democrats firmly in control of the White House and Congress, it’s questionable that his audience will grow.” Gee, are any of you REALLY surprized by the rise in ratings at FNC (FOX NEWS CHANNEL) and the falling numbers by their competitors? I'm not. The Liberal Left may have won the White House and Congress, but they haven't won the hearts, minds and souls of the American people. At least not yet. And those that use the GOD given common sense that were suckered in to voting for Liberals 2 out the last three presidents did so for basically one reason. The Economy. Think about it for a moment. Bill Clinton ran on the phrase "It's the ECONOMY stupid''. Remember? And were it not for the economic problems that reared its ugly head the last 4 months before the last election, Barack Obama might not have won. It was, after all, the WAR ON TERROR that kept G.W. Bush in the White House for the past 8 years. O'Reilly and the FNC have built a "fair and balanced' reputation that really is FAIR and BALANCED. Can MSNBC say the same? Does this sound like it? In an article posted @ http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/04/21/beckel_miss_usa/ , Bob Beckel (Democratic Strategist / FOX NEWS Contributor) discusses his views concerning comments made by Miss California Carrie Prejean during the Miss U.S.A Pageant.
Beckel writes:
“The furor over the anti-gay marriage comments made by Miss California, who was competing in the Miss USA contest were both unnecessary and inflammatory.”
Tell that to Perez Hilton! He is the one who asked that “DUMB” question.

Director Ron Howard defends "Angels & Demons" (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Director Ron Howard on Tuesday defended his film adaptation of "The Da Vinci Code" author Dan Brown 's " Angels & Demons " from criticism that it smears the Roman Catholic Church , heightening an ongoing battle over fictional depictions of the Vatican.
Howard, who also directed the 2006 movie adaptation of " The Da Vinci Code ," posted a blog at The Huffington Post website saying that neither he nor his new movie "Angels & Demons," which debuts in May and stars Tom Hanks , are anti-Catholic.
"And let me be a little controversial: I believe Catholics, including most in the hierarchy of the Church , will enjoy the movie for what it is: an exciting mystery, set in the awe-inspiring beauty of Rome," Howard wrote.
Howard's post came in response to an opinion piece in the New York Daily News by Bill Donahue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, last week. Donahue accused Brown and Howard of "smearing the Catholic Church with fabulously bogus tales."
Last year, the Catholic Church refused to let "Angels & Demons" be filmed in churches in Rome because of the Vatican's outrage over "The Da Vinci Code."
Howard's drama "Frost/Nixon" was nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards this year, but lost to " Slumdog Millionaire ." His other films include " A Beautiful Mind ," which won the best picture Oscar and best directing Oscar for 2001, as well as 1995's " Apollo 13 ."
Brown this week announced that his follow-up novel to "The Da Vinci Code" will be released in September and is titled "The Lost Symbol."

Hollywood just doesn't get it. Why do they want to continue bashing Christianity? Oh! That's Right! The Christian Church won't back away from its position on HOMOSEXUALITY.
Hollywood believes Gays & Lesbians are "born" homosexual. That GOD made them that way.
IMO, homosexuals are believing a LIE.
We hear from the Liberal Left that a women's right to terminate their pregnancy for any reason is a CHOICE protected under our Constitution. Well, since this has become the case due to rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court, why won't they define HOMOSEXUALITY for what I believe it is........A CHOICE.
More to the point, a SEXUAL ADDICTION. No different than being addicted to DRUGS, ALCOHOL or GAMBLING. And as with most impulsive (or compulsive as with liars and kleptomaniacs) ADDICTIONS, they spawn from a kind of MENTAL ILLNESS. Usually, these type of addictions (IMO) are most likely due to low self esteem, feeling humiliated, being bullied, overcome with shame or anger, disappointments, the rejections or the abuse ( such as rape ) from a parent, guardian and/or loved one. There is a long list of mental disorders that could be applied. And with help, many CAN healed for these disorders. Former homosexuals are a testament to that.
So being "born" GAY can't be the reason or the truth.
Forcing the Christian Church to accept HOMOSEXUALITY as "GOD" MADE instead of MAN MADE would free the homosexual from any of the responsibility of their actions. When they die from A.I.D.S. or any other STD, they can blame it on GOD.
THEY'RE WANTING TO RE-WRITE THE BIBLE SO THAT IT WILL SAY WHAT THEY WANT IT SAY!! And if they can't do that, they will try to demonize Christians with lies and names. Names like BIGOT, RACIST or HATERS. They will attempt to prevent you from OWNING PROPERTY, DENY YOU ACCESS TO PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF YOUR FAITH, RAISE YOUR TAXES, or worse. Whatever it takes to discourage people of faith.
Like angry, little children, if they can't have their way or get what they want, they will THROW A TANTRUM. You saw an example of that from Perez Hilton after the Miss U.S.A. pageant ( calling Miss California a "dumb b--ch" on his blog ). You can see how MENTALLY UNSTABLE Perez Hilton really is. This kind of behavior serves to only re-enforce my observation ( as does those who subject themselves to sex change operations. You can't be "playing with a full deck" if you're actually considering MUTILATING your body because of a "sexual" preference.).
Ron Howard and the rest of Hollywood needs to be sent a message.
I urge you to boycott movies that are strictly designed to harm CHRISTIANITY and the truth of the only one willing to die FOR you and me, JESUS CHRIST.
They will only listen if we don't buy their products. The longer we don't buy, the broker they become.

And just so it's perfectly clear, we aren't talking about her resigning (either gracefully or in disgrace). And it's way too late for backhanded apologies, like the 'slap-in-the-face' she already gave the brave men and women who have wore a uniform and proudly served this country.
Janet Napolitano must be FIRED... and it should have been done yesterday!
You see, the problem is not just that Janet Napolitano's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) put together a so-called anti-terrorism security assessment that targets mainstream Americans as dangerous extremists.
We're talking about millions of people who believe that our government is too large and taxes us too much, like those who participated in the TEA Parties on tax day. We are talking about everyday Americans who believe that the 2nd Amendment actually gives people the right to bear arms; people who are pro-life; the millions of people who believe that our nation's immigration laws should be strictly enforced.
And the problem is not simply that this so-called security assessment targets patriotic Americans - and they are talking about YOU - as "right wing extremists," or, as Peter Kirsanow with the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights put it:
"That DHS report warning about all manner of 'right-wing extremists' could be considerably shortened if it simply alerted law-enforcement officials to be on the lookout for people from 'small towns (who are) bitter (and) cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment.'"
The problem is that this is the same Janet Napolitano who just recently told us that horrendous, unspeakable acts committed by actual terrorists, dead set on destroying our country and killing Americans, should be called "man-caused disasters."
Specifically she told Der Spiegel:
"In my speech, although I did not use the word 'terrorism,' I referred to 'man-caused' disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur."
So... when it comes to actual acts or threats of terrorism against mainstream Americans, we should move beyond the "politics of fear."
But patriotic Americans like YOU -- who exercise your Constitutionally-protected First Amendment rights -- pose a threat to the government.
Is it actually possible that Napolitano and Barack Obama and even some within the Obama Administration are so twisted as to believe that Islamic Terrorists are the good guys and that you are the bad guys?
Syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin in Thursday's Washington Times wrote:
"What and who exactly are President Obama's homeland security officials afraid of these days? If you are a member of an active conservative group that opposes abortion, favors strict immigration enforcement, lobbies to protect Second Amendment rights, protests big government, advocates federalism, or represents veterans who believe in any of the above, the answer is: You."
If what is contained in this leaked DHS security assessment does not bring you to the realization that it is time for all patriotic Americans who love freedom to stand up and shout that we're not going to take it anymore... it is quite possible that nothing will.
So, here's what we're going to do. We're going to make it very clear that we want drastic action. We're going to make it very clear that Janet Napolitano needs to go. We're going to make it very clear that we want her FIRED - PERIOD... no resignations will be allowed... no meaningless apologies will be accepted.

It lumps together in its definition of 'rightwing extremism' hate groups, anti-government groups, and single issue groups 'such as opposition to abortion or immigration.'"
Let's state it more plainly. As far as Janet Napolitano's DHS is concerned, if you are pro-life or believe in strict enforcement of our immigration laws, or if you attended one of those TEA parties, you're the same as a neo-Nazi, or a member of the KKK. What purpose can be served by a document that classifies mainstream Americans as "extremists" who pose a clear and present danger to our nation's security?

"It is a manipulative information tool intended to paint the loyal opposition as reactionary kooks who are prone to violence and a danger to the country. ... This is part of a more widespread ongoing information campaign to plant and reinforce critical themes into the American official, and broader public psyche, a continuation of the 'clinging to guns and religion' message so frequently found in the rhetoric of President Obama and his acolytes."
And Fairchok concludes by issuing a very somber warning.
"And we ain't seen nothin' yet."
But what is even more disturbing is that DHS NEVER intended the public to see this so-called security assessment. It was a secret.
Reagan again:
"Obviously recognizing that public knowledge of the nonsense alleged in this document is very undesirable, the weirdoes who prepared it did not want you to see it. ... They warn: 'No portion of the LES (Law Enforcement Sensitive) information should be released to the media, the general public, or over non-secure Internet servers.'"
Judge Napolitano again:
"The document itself cautions the reader that the document is 'not to be released to the public, the media, or other personnel who do not have a valid need-to-know without prior approval' of the DHS. The document refers to itself as one of a series of intelligence assessments intended to 'deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States.'"
But there's even more.

The portion of this so-called security assessment that was leaked is only a SUMMARY.
The bulk of it remains CLASSIFIED. We have no idea what's in it.

"The summary (unclassified) document is terrifying. One can only imagine what is contained in the classified version. This document runs directly counter to numerous U.S. Supreme decisions prohibiting the government from engaging in any activities that could serve to chill the exercise of expressive liberties. Liberties are chilled, in constitutional parlance, when people are afraid to express themselves for fear of government omnipresence, monitoring, or reprisals. The document also informs the reader that Big Brother is watching both public and private behavior."
But whatever else is in there... it cannot be pretty.

"My guess is that the sentiments revealed in the report I read are the tip of an iceberg that the DHS would prefer to keep submerged until it needs to reveal it. This iceberg is the heavy-hand of government; a government with large and awful eyes, in whose heart there is no love for freedom, and on whose face there is no smile."

They warn: 'No portion of the LES (Law Enforcement Sensitive) information should be released to the media, the general public, or over non-secure Internet servers.'"

"The document itself cautions the reader that the document is 'not to be released to the public, the media, or other personnel who do not have a valid need-to-know without prior approval' of the DHS. The document refers to itself as one of a series of intelligence assessments intended to 'deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States.'"
But there's even more.

The bulk of it remains CLASSIFIED. We have no idea what's in it.
Judge Napolitano continues:
"The summary (unclassified) document is terrifying. One can only imagine what is contained in the classified version. This document runs directly counter to numerous U.S. Supreme decisions prohibiting the government from engaging in any activities that could serve to chill the exercise of expressive liberties. Liberties are chilled, in constitutional parlance, when people are afraid to express themselves for fear of government omnipresence, monitoring, or reprisals. The document also informs the reader that Big Brother is watching both public and private behavior."
But whatever else is in there... it cannot be pretty.
Judge Napolitano yet again:
"My guess is that the sentiments revealed in the report I read are the tip of an iceberg that the DHS would prefer to keep submerged until it needs to reveal it. This iceberg is the heavy-hand of government; a government with large and awful eyes, in whose heart there is no love for freedom, and on whose face there is no smile."

Two years ago during an appearance on MSNBC, Knox argued that scientific evidence supports the notion that certain people are born homosexuals. "What's clear from our experience and from science is that being gay or lesbian is an immutable, unchangeable gift from God -- one for which I'm very grateful," he said.
According to the HRC website, Knox is a former licensed pastor of a United Methodist Church in Georgia, and was denied ordination because of his sexual orientation. Last month, Knox was critical of Pope Benedict's statement that condom usage increases HIV infections. That stance, said Knox, "is hurting people in the name of Jesus." He has also referred to "lesbian and gay" ministerial candidates as "gifted ministers."

Pageant, Miss California Carrie Prejean was asked a question concerning Gay Marriage by pageant judge Perez Hilton ( a flamboyant homosexual himself ).

"The way miss California answered her question lost her the crown, without a doubt!" Hilton went on to say, " Never before that I'm aware of has a contestant been booed at Miss USA."

This question is for everyone that wanted CHANGE last election day.
Here are some of the changes that have taken place since "President" Obama was inaugurated just 4 months ago.
Since taking office, not a day has passed without President Obama touting some new policy, spending program or government overreach. Obama made grand claims about excluding lobbyists from his cabinet, only to back off this stance when reality made this difficult. Obama's cabinet picks have had more dirty laundry than any new President in recent history. Obama's 787 billion "reinvestment" plan was sub-contracted out to Nancy Pelosi, loaded with pork, and absent of real stimulus. Obama promoted Geithner's mortgage and housing plan, only to have the markets flip out at its utter lack of detail and questioning Geithner's readiness for the job once the plan was introduced. Obama's ten-year budget is full of fantasy and pork (8500 earmarks?!?), whose real costs are totally unknown. His health care plan is a mere down payment on government health care, but does not address the real questions around how to "fix" our medical system (electronic medical records isn't it). Not to mention the seemingly endless slide of the stock market, that even Bill Clinton recognized was not being helped (if not sabotaged) by Obama's Fear and Change rhetoric (which although Obama's largely gotten a pass on this one, Bush was severely attacked by the media for the same thing during 2001).
To save money, our government was actually considering billing VETERANS with service connected injuries for the care they receive at VA Hospitals. And since we are on the subject of VETERANS, this headline has been posted on the Internet and reads as follows ; NAPOLITANO: Veterans are TARGETS of Right-Wing Extremest Recruiters Go to http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/04/19/napolitano-veterans-targets-right-wing-extremist-recruiters/ for the full article.
As a veteran myself, I find any report aimed primarily to PROFILING VETERANS that are coming home from defending us from TERRORISTS OF ANY KIND an insult and should be looked upon as unlawful as profiling minorities. By sending a "warning report" to "American law enforcement agencies", the Democrats have tipped their hand as to how they really feel about the American Military. Not the HEROES they said at election time, but the "baby killers" and "torturers" those same Democrats proclaimed Vietnam Veterans of the 1960s and 70s were. Now that was some rally cry. (Thank you Sen. Keary, Jane Fonda and everyone else on the "loony" Liberal Left. To those VETERANS, that sure was some homecoming! Thanks for ALL your support! NOT!!)
Michelle Malkin wrote an article titled : YOU MIGHT BE A "RADICALIZED RIGHT-WING EXTREMIST" and she writes as follows:

We're giving BILLIONS in BAILOUTS to companies AIG to pay bonuses and to FOREIGN BANKS while Senators Dodd & FRANKS haven't resigned and placed in handcuffs along with the rest of those in charge at Freddie Mac & Frannie Mae which strongly contributed to the the current GLOBAL RECESSION . They won't confess ANY responsibility although it was THEIR assurances before their respected committees that both were alright. The TRUTH will come out some day. He made noise about closing Guantanamo without having a real plan for doing so, and some terrorists have gotten off scot-free as a result. North Korea's Kim Jong Il and Iran's Ahmadinejad have already started to test the new president and his all-carrots-no-stick approach. He's pissed off our allies in Pakistan with missile attacks. And most recently, Obama kicked off his relationship with UK PM Gordon Brown with an inappropriate gift consisting of 25 DVD's.
AND WHY BOW BEFORE A SAUDI KING IN "RESPECT" AND NOT THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND? DOES SHE NOT DESERVE THE SAME RESPECT? ( It must be a MUSLIM thing.)
Obama's scattershot promotion of his massive policy changes has been sweeping and ill considered. Rather than focus on making a single good policy, Obama has instead created 100 policies that are not fully fleshed. Meanwhile, as the stock market has dropped over 1600 points under his watch (over 3000 points since his election) his principal advisers are busy demonizing entertainers such as Rush Limbaugh, Rick Santelli, and (former Obama supporter) Jim Cramer for questioning the wisdom behind these policies. While Obama blames the prior administration for the current stock market decline, whines about inheriting this mess, and suggests that he doesn't care about the "gyrations of the market" (which reflects a forward looking view by investors of our economy), Americans are losing their nest eggs, and the world is losing confidence. Rather than make good on his campaign promises for greater bi-partisanship, he's been attacking GOP straw men -- as opposed to actual GOP stances -- with relentless fervor. Adding insult to injury, while Campaign Obama criticized President Bush for telling people to buy stuff after 9/11, President Obama's own stimulus plan and tax cuts are designed precisely to get people to buy stuff.

What and who exactly are President Obama's homeland security officials afraid of these days? If you are a member of an active conservative group that opposes abortion, favors strict immigration enforcement, lobbies to protect Second Amendment rights, protests big government, advocates federalism or represents veterans who believe in any of the above, the answer is: You.
Department of Homeland Security Sec. Janet Napolitano has turned her attention away from acts of Islamic jihad on American soil (which she now refers to as "man-caused disasters"). Instead, her department is sounding the alarm over an unquantified "resurgence" in "right-wing extremism activity." On April 7, DHS sent a nine-page warning memo to law enforcement offices across the country titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment."
The report includes a sweeping definition of the threat:
"Right-wing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."
You cannot ignore the context or the timing of this DHS report. It's no small coincidence that Napolitano's agency disseminated the assessment just a week before the nationwide April 15 Tax Day Tea Party protests. The grassroots events organized by fiscal conservatives, independents, Libertarians and, yes, even some Blue Dog Democrats were fueled by the "current economic and political climate" of bipartisan profligate spending and endless taxpayer-funded bailouts. The growing success of the loose-knit movement has invited scorn, ridicule and fear-mongering from Obama's supporters. Liberal bloggers have likened the Tea Party movement to neo-Nazis, militias and even Weather Underground terrorists.
These attempts to demonize the Tea Party movement come on the heels of widespread conservative-bashing over the recent shooting sprees in Pittsburgh and Binghamton, N.Y. Taking Hillary Clinton's advice to "never waste a good crisis," left-wing pundits and analysts have blamed the tragedies on everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Fox News to the NRA.
The DHS spokespeople I talked to on Monday insisted that the report was not a politicized document and that DHS had done similar assessments on "left-wing extremism" in the past. But past domestic terrorism reports have always been very specific in identifying security threats -- such as the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front -- and very specific in identifying their methods and targets, including repeated physical harassment, arson and vandalism against pharmaceutical companies, farms, labs and university researchers.
By contrast, the Obama DHS report is an overarching indictment of conservatives. "Right-wing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures," the assessment warns. When I asked DHS spokeswoman Sara Kuban to explain who was responsible for this "extremist chatter," she could not and would not name names.
Moreover, the report relies on the work of the left-leaning Southern Poverty Law Center to stir anxiety over "disgruntled military veterans" -- a citation that gives us valuable insight into how DHS will define "hate-oriented" groups. The SPLC, you see, has designated the venerable American Legion a "hate group" for its stance on immigration enforcement. The report offers zero data, but states with an almost resentful attitude toward protected free speech: "Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent."
"Potential to turn violent"? So did the hysterical fervor whipped up by Capitol Hill over the AIG bonuses, which prompted ugly death threats from across the country. No mention here, though. Not "right wing" enough. Nor will you see Obama DHS warnings to police and sheriff's departments about self-proclaimed bank terrorists such as Bruce Marks of the aggressive Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America or the mob activists of ACORN who have committed burglary, stormed corporate executives' homes and vowed to conduct "civil disobedience" by "any means necessary" in response to the "current economic and political climate."
If you can redefine dissenting opinion as "hate," you can brand your political opponents as "extremists" -- and you can marginalize electoral threats. "Antigovernment"? "Pro-enforcement"? "Disgruntled"? Feeling taxed enough already and "recruiting" and "radicalizing" your friends and neighbors through "chatter on the Internet"?

According to news reports, the Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," labeling citizens opposed to new firearms restrictions, returning veterans and conservatives as "rightwing extremists" and associating them with white supremacists and violent antigovernment groups.
You read that right -- it appears that the Obama Administration, and especially the DHS under Janet Napolitano, is trying to demonize political dissent. And it's no big surprise who's directly in their crosshairs: supporters of the Second Amendment, including veterans and gun owners.

SEND YOUR FAXES NOW! The report also says that Congressional debates about immigration and gun control make extremist groups suspicious and give them a rallying cry:
"It is unclear if either bill will be passed into law; nonetheless, a correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists," the report said.
Why are they worried? Because since November, more than 7 million people have applied for criminal background checks in order to buy weapons. And as far as the Obama administration is concerned, buying guns equals "weapons stockpiling," buying ammo equals "hoarding of ammunition," and expressing concern about Congress passing gun control legislation qualifies YOU as part of an "extremist group."
Therefore, you and I are now being viewed as dangerous rightwing extremists that law enforcement officials need to be watching out for!

This report was released "hot on the heels" of another (state) government agency report in February: the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) report titled, "MIAC Strategic Report: The Modern Militia Movement." In this horrific "law enforcement sensitive" secret police report, Governor Jeremiah (Jay) Nixon; John Britt, Director of the Missouri Department of Public Safety; James Keathley, Colonel, Missouri State Highway Patrol; and Van Godsey, Director of MIAC categorize certain citizens as being potential violence-prone "militia members."
According to the MIAC report, if you oppose any of the following, you could qualify for being profiled as a potential dangerous "militia member":
The United Nations
The New World Order
Gun Control
The violation of Posse Comitatus
The Federal Reserve
The Income Tax
The Ammunition and Accountability Act
A possible Constitutional Convention
The North American Union
Universal Service Program
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
Abortion
Illegal Immigration
Well, there you have it! You see? You ARE a dangerous rightwing extremist!
As ridiculous as that report seems, it was distributed to law enforcement officials across the state of Missouri. And it wasn't until the state government was FLOODED with protests from patriotic Americans across the country, that they finally came out and denounced and retracted the MIAC document.
Now, it's happened again -- but this time, at the Federal level! Our own government is turning against us, and unless there is a HUGE outpouring of outrage from every part of this nation, it will just keep getting WORSE!

SEND YOUR FAXES NOW! Interestingly enough, no left-leaning political ideologies were identified. No Islamic extremists. No environmental extremists. Only people holding "conservative" or "right-wing" philosophies were identified in BOTH the MIAC report AND the Homeland Security "assessment."
This shouldn't be too surprising: both of these reports are similar to several other reports currently circulating around various State police agencies, courtesy of DHS-sponsored "Fusion Centers." MIAC is one of those Centers, sponsored by the DHS!
So now, even veterans are targets of our own government: The Homeland Security assessment specifically says that "rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat."
PLEASE, don't think we're making a "big deal" out of nothing! Homeland Security spokeswoman Sara Kuban specifically told the press, "This is nothing unusual," and added that the Homeland Security Department did this "to prevent another Tim McVeigh from ever happening again."
The authors of this assessment are pushing an "Us against Them" philosophy. You and I are being marginalized -- labeled as fringe kooks, "rightwing extremists," so that it will be easier to violate our liberties and take away our right to keep and bear arms in the future.
The only thing that will put a STOP to this nonsense is a huge public outcry opposing it. If we do nothing, however, it will soon be too late to do anything. We either stop it NOW, or it will grow into an out-of-control monster that will monitor and control the personal opinions and speech of every man, woman, and child in this country.
As patriotic Americans, we need to DEMAND that this outrageous report be CONDEMNED by our Representatives in Congress, and RETRACTED by the Obama administration -- NOW. They, along with Secretary Napolitano, owe every conservative American, every veteran and every gun owner who supports limited government an apology. Do Conservatives, Christians & Veterans Feel The Love From Washington?
Well since I happen to be a member of all three groups let me tell you how I feel and see if the rest of you feel the same way.
As a Christian Conservative and Disabled Army Veteran, I resent the idea that we need to give my tax dollars to people that hate America. Many countries in the Middle East are here asking us for economic aid in one form or another and we, being the generous nation we are, give it to them. We expect the money to be used for food, medicine or stabilize their economy so they can create jobs. But what have a lot of those countries done instead? BUY WEAPONS to destroy one of their neighbors, ISRAEL, who happens to be the one stable democracy in the region.
I don't believe I should have to pay for any of my health care at the V.A. Hospitals for injuries received while serving my country. This will only keep valuable men and women volunteers from joining our military to begin with. And what do you think will happen should we need these brave people to defend America in the future on short notice. If you said, "Impose the DRAFT", you would be right.
Sounds to me like our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS & FREEDOMS that American blood was shed for is being stripped away piece by piece. Since the Bible has been taken from our school classrooms in the early 1960's to today, the liberal counter culture has taken its place. Attacks on family values like marriage to the raising of our children to the ABORTION of those children because we were ready to choose having unprotected sex outside of a committed marriage relationship but wasn't ready to accept the responsibility for the consequences of those choices.
It seems to me that since the removal of the Bible in our schools America ( and the world as a whole) has been walking a death march straight to Hell. You see evidence of this with the children today. They're more focused on death, witchcraft (Wicca), drugs and sex than ever before in history. People want a cure for A.I.D.S. but won't refrain from having the unprotected sex and the homosexual sex that spread it. Rulings and policies made by the politicians and judges in the 1960's and 1970's have led to a world where the youth of today have little to no value on human life. Attitudes of remorse, shame, respect for self and others or even common decency are all but gone these days. And replacing them is GREED, HATE, PREJUDICE and eventually DEATH.
The definition of LOVE has changed. JOY was once described as follows:
Jesus first,
Others second,
Yourself last.
But thanks to the Washington Elite, America has lost her joy as well as her first love for which she was originally founded. GOD!
And thanks to people with the power in Washington D.C. like Janet Napolitano, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who have already expressed their disdain for our military, the America I love and was willing to fight and die for will soon no longer have any love for me and others like me, THE CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERAN.

Liberals Sound Like "Used" Car Salesmen !
As I was watching the reports from those cable news programs (usually I watch FOX) coverage of yesterday's TEA PARTIES in America, I became curious to see how networks like CNN and MSNBC would also cover the events. And I noticed something on one program that made me remembered why I don't watch them to begin with.
On the program COUNTDOWN with Keith Olbermann I watched the host spout off during his "Worst Person" segment at a speed that sounded much like a used car salesman telling you about a particular car right before the "bait and switch". I felt his rant on Republicans, Bill O'reilly, FOX NEWS and our right to voice our disapproval on the Presidents "over"spending for programs were uncalled for. As if trying to keep us from noticing TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS being sucked from our wallets for programs that hurt America. I couldn't help noticing that he was acting just like a certain CNBC financial expert who spoke the same way endorsing certain bank stocks right before the great economic fall we are suffering thru now. (Hummmmm, I wonder who that could be? Maybe I should ask Jon Stewart.)
This country wouldn't have to raise taxes if certain policies and court rulings were overturned.
Take ABORTION for instance. Since the mid-seventies 40,000,000 plus abortions have been performed. That's 40,000,000 potiential TAX PAYERS whose revenue would have been handy right about now.
IMO, I think Mr. Olbermann wants us to believe one thing ( Republicans being a threat ) while hiding the real threat of liberal agendas such as homosexuality, abortion and atheism ( or other anti-christian groups) continuing to destroy the very foundations our country was founded on. And CNN and others calling Conservatives foul names as bigots, racists, homophobes and others only serve to show that even they know their agendas are weak and WRONG for this country. What are they afraid of?
Humanism has replaced COMMON SENSE in American.
In their attempt to bring in a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT, the liberal progressives have brought Babel and Sodom and Gomorrah to American. All that was missing was a Pharaoh who would continue to allow the killing of our first born under the definition of "CHOICE'. And now that President Obama is in office, they believe they have one. And they will do whatever it takes to keep open minded people with any common sense from seeing what they are really doing.
If we allow them to continue on this path unchecked or unopposed, GOD HELP US ALL!
(Oh, and now you know why I don't watch any NBC station at all. Sorry Mr. Zucker.)
